Carrot Capsicum Poriyal Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 carrots - cut
  • 2 capsicum (green) - cut
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon white urad dal
  • 1 sprig curry leaves - 1/2 Tsp asafoetida
  • 2 green chillies - chopped
  • 2 tbsp coconut - grated
  • salt - as per taste
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. To make the Carrot Capsicum Poreal Recipe, first of all pour the carrot, salt and 2 tablespoons water in a pressure cooker
  2. Turn off the cooker and cook till 2 cities come
  3. Take out the pressure and keep it aside
  4. Now heat oil in a pan
  5. Add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal and cook till the lentils turn brown
  6. After the lentils turn brown, add curry leaves, asafoetida, green chillies and cook for 30 seconds
  7. Now add capsicum, salt and cook until the capsicum becomes soft
  8. Take care not to burn capsicum
  9. Now add coconut, mix it and turn off the gas
  10. Remove and serve in a serving bowl
  11. Serve the Carrot Capsicum Poriyal Recipe with Chow Chow Sambar, Tomato Rasam and Rice for the day's dinner
