Egg and Bread Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati rice - cooked
  • 5 Whole Eggs
  • 1 Onion
  • 4 Whole Wheat Brown Bread
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon Stick (Dalchini)
  • 2 Cloves (Laung)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 3 Whole Black Peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon Sambar Powder
  • Salt - as required
  • 1 tablespoon Sunflower Oil

Instructions

  1. To begin making the Egg and Bread Fried Rice recipe, chop the onion finely
  2. Break eggs to a bowl and whisk it
  3. Keep aside
  4. You can use cooked rice or leftover rice
  5. Heat a heavy bottomed pan with oil, add cinnamon, cloves and cumin seeds
  6. Once it splutters add onion and saute well
  7. Once the onion becomes translucent, add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw smell goes
  8. Reduce the flame to medium
  9. Pour the eggs and scramble them
  10. Add crushed pepper, sambar powder an required salt
  11. Combine everything together and cook until the eggs are completely cooked
  12. Tear the bread slices roughly and add to the cooked eggs
  13. Mix everything together until the breads are coated well
  14. Add little more oil if needed
  15. Add cooked rice and mix
  16. Stir well on medium flame for 2-3 minutes
  17. Check for salt and garnish with coriander leaves
  18. Serve hot and enjoy
