Giant Skillet Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 cup Butter (unsalted) - softened
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar (Demerara Sugar) - light brown
  • 1 Whole Egg
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1-1/2 Cup Milk
  • Chocolate chips - semi sweet (as required)

Instructions

  1. To begin making the Giant Skillet Cookie recipe, preheat oven to 200 C degrees
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside
  3. In the bowl, cream butter and sugars until mixture is light and fluffy, about 2 minutes
  4. Add egg and vanilla; mix until they are fully incorporated
  5. Add flour mixture, and beat until just combined
  6. Stir in chocolate chips

  10. Transfer dough to a 10-inch ovenproof skillet, and press to flatten, covering bottom of pan
  11. Bake until edges are brown and top is golden, 25 to 30 minutes
  12. Don't overbake; it will continue to cook a few minutes out of the oven
  13. Transfer to a wire rack to cool, 15 to 20 minutes
  14. Cut into 8 wedges
  15. Serve warm; top each wedge with a scoop of ice cream and some caramel sauce
