Cabbage Pachadi Recipe_1

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons til oil
  • 1 tablespoon white urad dal
  • 1 tablespoon roasted chana dal
  • 2 cups cabbage - chopped
  • 3 green chillies - chopped
  • 10 curry leaves
  • salt - 1/2 tablespoon
  • as per taste Tamarind paste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tablespoon mustard
  • asafetida - a pinch
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • 2 teaspoons oil

Instructions

  1. To make the cabbage cabbage, first heat the oil in a pan
  2. Add urad dal and chana dal to it
  3. Let it cook till it turns light brown
  4. Now add green chillies and curry leaves
  5. Add cabbage and salt in it after 15 seconds
  6. Allow to cook for 8 to 10 minutes and then turn off the gas
  7. After the cabbage mixture cools down, add it to the mixer grinder with tamarind and some water
  8. Grind and take out in a bowl
  9. Now for the tempering, heat the oil in a tadka pan
  10. Add mustard seeds and let it cook for 10 seconds
  11. Add asafetida and mix
  12. Add this tempering to the chutney and mix
  13. Serve the cabbage of paneer with onion uttapam, ghee dosa or masala dosa
